By downloading, installing, or using the Resume Maker mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Resume Maker ("we", "us", or "our"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
Users under 18: If you are between 16 and 17 years old, you may use the App only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Your parent or guardian must review these Terms with you and agrees to be bound by them on your behalf.
Texas residents (App Store Accountability Act, SB 2420): If you reside in Texas and are under 18, your use of the App requires verified parental consent. Google Play may provide us with age signals through the Play Age Signals API to help enforce this requirement. By installing the App from the Google Play Store in Texas, you acknowledge that Google may share your age category (minor or adult) with us so that we can apply the appropriate restrictions. Where Google Play indicates that a user is a minor without verified parental consent, we may restrict access to in-app purchases, advertising, and certain AI features.
Parental controls: Parents and guardians may contact us at any time at rivoacle@gmail.com to request that we block App use on a specific device, revoke consent, or delete locally stored data.
Resume Maker does not require account registration, login, or a password. On first launch, you are asked to enter your name to personalise your experience. This name is stored locally on your device only.
All data you create, including resumes, profile information, and cover letter history, is stored exclusively on your device. There is no cloud sync, server-side account, or backup associated with your data.
If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is permanently deleted. We have no ability to recover it.
Resume Maker grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

Promo Codes: We may issue promotional codes that unlock Premium features for a limited period. Promo codes are redeemed in Profile → Enter Promo Code. Promo unlocks are tied to the device and cannot be transferred. We reserve the right to expire or revoke promo codes at any time.
Payments are processed through the Google Play Store. By subscribing, you agree to Google Play's payment terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. We do not process payments directly and do not store payment card information. Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policies.
Resume Maker displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob on the Free Plan. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:
The App utilises external Artificial Intelligence (AI) services provided by Google (Gemini API) to power the ATS Checker, Cover Letter Generator, Resume Upload & Parse, and Resume Builder AI helpers (Generate Summary, Generate Bullets, Improve Bullet). By using these features, you consent to your inputted data (such as resume text, job titles, and skills) being sent to our backend servers and securely processed by the AI.
We guarantee that:
You acknowledge that AI-generated content is a starting point. We do not guarantee that any content will result in job interviews or employment offers. You are solely responsible for reviewing all content before submitting it to employers.
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Resume Maker and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain full ownership of all resume content and personal information you enter into the App. We do not collect or store any of it.
You may not use our name, logo, or trademarks without prior written permission.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
In summary: your personal profile and resumes stay entirely on your device. We collect nothing. Please review our Privacy Policy in the App settings for full details.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Resume Maker and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may stop using the App at any time. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored data from your device.
We may restrict access to App features at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms.
All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If disputes cannot be resolved informally, they shall be submitted to binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
